Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal with Strasbourg to sign 19-year-old centre-back Mamadou Sarr.

The Ufabet reported on Monday that Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal with Strasbourg, part of BlueCo, owned by Todd Boehly, to sign 19-year-old centre-back Mamadou Sarr.

Mamadou Sarr joined Strasbourg from Lyon last โปรโมชั่นพิเศษจาก UFABET สมัครตอนนี้ รับโบนัสทันที summer and has started 12 of the club’s 14 games this season, helping them remain unbeaten in their last five games.

Chelsea are reportedly close to agreeing a deal with Strasbourg for Sarr in a deal worth around £17million and the Blues are expect to loan the player to Strasbourg until the end of the season, despite Enzo Maresca’s side struggling with a number of centre-back injuries.

Strasbourg are one of the clubs own by Boehly’s BlueCo group, which bought a majority stake in the club in June 2023 for £65m, but are subject to strict rules on player transfers between sister clubs, with United having previously struggle to sign Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice last summer.

But the transfer of Sar is in progress and is expect to be complete soon.

The pre-agreed nature of the transfer avoids forcing Strasbourg to drop any of their three loanees, midfielder Andrey Santos, left-back Caleb Wiley or goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic, because of limits set by Fifa’s rules.

Chelsea have also lined up a deal for Kazakh 16-year-old Dastan Satpaev, who completed a successful trial at Cobham Training Centre in recent weeks.

The striker is expect to join Chelsea’s academy teams from FC Kairat.
